While AI-generated responses may be useful in some situations, there are also some limitations to using it. One of the biggest issues with AI platforms, such as ChatGPT, includes accuracy and bias. When using a search engine such as Google, the user can cross-check multiple sources to ensure they share similar information. However, AI does not provide the source of the information, making it hard to determine if it comes from a reputable website. Additionally, we do not know if AI is using the most up-to-date information. For more controversial topics, such as "Is God real?", AI can provide different viewpoints but ultimately cannot replace personal opinions or expert perspectives found in more academic sources.
In the end, I personally will not be replacing traditional search methods like Google for generative AI tools. AI may be great for summarizing and explaining tricky concepts, but when I need more specific and highly credible sources, Google is a better option.
